The Mimi Fishman Foundation is a non-profit organization, that remains active due to the time and kindness donated by volunteers. There are no paid employees working for the foundation, whatsoever. Here's your chance to take a second to get to know a little bit about the people who contribute their time, energy, and knowledge to this organization.

- David Shulman
  Executive Director/Founder

His full time job is Senior Account Executive for Relizon, a company that acquired David's direct marketing business in 1997.

Over the years, David has helped develop programs for non-profits such as The St. Louis Zoo, The American Red Cross, Forest Park Forever, Lutheran Hour Ministries, KETC (public TV), among others.

David first met Mimi, and the Fishman family in 1997 and with Mimi formed the Mimi Fishman Foundation in 1999. His first impressions of Mimi were very positive. "It was quite obvious that Mimi was a true philanthropist, as she spent endless hours organizing charity concerts to raise money for organizations most important to her. I believe one of the reasons Mimi and I became such close friends was that we shared the same desire to support those in need", says David.

David's other involvement in the jamband community included the role of a regional editor for jambands.com in it's early stages. He was also a major contributor to the Mockingbird Foundation's "Phish Companion". In addition, in both 2001 and 2002, David was a presenter at the Jammy Awards in New York City, as he presented the Mimi Fishman Award for Community Service.
